Pros:

1. The color is a lovely warm pink! It’s not bright red and not even a neon red..it something in between!

2. The brush is rounded at tip which helps easy application. One of the best brushes I’ve seen so far, just needs a single stroke!

3. Does not leave streaks,smooth finish!

4. Dries quickly!

5. Chips after 5-6 days (A single coat with no top coat chips in 2 days.)

Cons:

1. The bottle is very small for the price! (Rs.225 for 5ml)

2. Needs three coats for a perfect finish which is a lot of polish from that already small bottle.

3. Claims to be a gel color but does not reach the standard of one!

Will I buy again?

Maybe! I’m happy with the pretty coral color and totally in love with the brush.The only thing that turns me off is the price of that tiny bottle! So if my pocket is filled, I don’t mind buying this shade again and again

1. Why did you start blogging at the first place?

I started my blog Desimiss (yeah that was my first blog’s name) for an entirely different purpose. As you know I am a nail art addict and always tried different nail arts even before I started Desimiss. My friends always asked me how it did it and slowly it started to annoy me as I had to explain the entire process to multiple people! That’s when I got the idea of starting my blog.  Eventually I decided to write about other fashion related stuff or anything that pleased my eyes.

2. Which is the one beauty/make up product you always carry in your purse?

Umm..It’s difficult to choose one product because I carry a lot of stuff in my purse But a lip balm is something I never miss to carry with me.
3. Which is your favourite designer?

I’m not a ‘buy-only-branded-stuff’ person! I love the street shopping in Mumbai ! That does not mean I buy everything from there.. In short I buy anything from anywhere as long as it’s pretty My favourite designer is Victoria Beckham. She’s pretty, has her own sense of style and the clothes she creates are fabulous! I hate her because she is married to the hottest person on earth
4. Summer, Winter, Autumn or Spring?

Summer! I love the beautiful colors of summer. Summer trends are bright and flowery which is very cute!

5. Which is your style icon?

Sonam Kapoor.

6. Do you have any pets?

Nah! I always wanted a pet dog! Anything breed except chihuahua!

The Ugly Truth. Lame I know! But Gerard Butler is hot and I love Rom-Coms!

Shipping and tracking:

Tracking was easy with updates being sent by email and SMS. The product reached my doorstep in two days

Packaging:

The packaging was good as my product reached my hand safely! The nail polish came in a Myntra box. It was enclosed in a plastic box and a thick layer of bubble wrap! The nail polish reached without any damage(the color looked a little different than the image which is OK).

 Will I buy again?

I’ve been a regular user of Myntra because of the amazing deals they come up with (I had told you about the buy one get two free lee jeans which was my favorite so far! They once had a giveaway where lucky winners got free shopping worth Rs. 2000!) The frequent sales and quick delivery often attract me to their website! I feel it’s a great shopping website for girls! So I will purchase from Myntra in the future too. I’ve not had a single complain with it so far!

Products used for this nail art:

1. Loreal color riche black swan nail polish.

2. VOV grey nail polish.

3. Viviana nail enamel- yellow

4. Viviana nail enamel metallic brown.

5. Cheap turquoise glitter polish.

6. Revlon color stay top coat.

7. Ranara base coat.

8. Lakme absolute nude glow gel nail color.

Apply ranara base coat to protect your natural nails. Don’t miss out on this step especially when you are dealing with dark nail polishes.

Step One: Paint your nails black using the Loreal color riche black swan nail polish. Allow it to dry.

Step Two: Using a sponge, dab VOV grey nail polish similarly to what we do in gradient nails. (check gradient nails tutorial here) However here we just dab on little portions of the nail.

Step Three: Now using another sponge dab some yellow nail polish over the grey. And some metallic brown polish around it. Allow it to dry. (Tip: Using tweezers to hold the sponge makes the application easier)

Step Four: Using a toothpick dipped in Lakme Nude Glow Gel color, randomly make many tiny dots. Make a few large dots too. These will make the stars.

Step Five: Apply glitter polish over the entire nail for a starry and shiny look.You can use clear glitter too! I used what I have

Finish with a top coat to seal in your design!Applying is top coat is essential because it will make your nail art smoother !

1. OPI Pink friday Nail polish.

2. Lakme absolute Nude glow gel color.

3. Loreal Color riche Black Swan nail polish.

4. Base coat and Top coat.

5. Tape and scissors.

6. Dotting tools and toothpicks.

Step One: Apply base coat to protect your natural nails.

Step Two: Cut the end of a tape into a semicircular shape. You can also use other round tapes such as corn tape or manicure strips to do this.

Step Three: Place The circular tape at thee base of your nail and paint your nails with two coats of Pink Friday nail polish. Allow to dry.

Step Four: Using a dotting tool dipped in Lakme nude glow nail polish make random dots over the painted area.

Step Five: Make ‘U’ and ‘C’ around the white dots using a toothpick dipped in black nail polish. Make few random dots too. This step is similar to what we did in the cheetah french tips manicure.

Step Six: Apply top coat to finish and seal in your design.

These leopard half moon nails look really pretty..just try it out and let me know the end results!

Well rosewater is a really versatile product and can be used in A LOT of ways! I tried to pick the best five

1. Use in Facepacks or other home made scrubs!

As I mentioned earlier, the benefits of rose water for the skin are infinite! Mix it in your face scrub or facepack to give you a calming effect! Rose water is proved to be an anti inflammatory! You can also use cotton balls soaked in rosewater to reduce under eye puffiness and get rid of dark circles!

2. Bed sheet perfume!

Yeah! I once had a broken bottle of rosewater and I had to make use of it! I sprinkled a mixture of rose water and water over all the bedsheets of my house The house smelt amazing! Now I sprinkle this sometimes before going to bed. Gives you a feeling of sleeping in a garden

3. Natural Replacement for cosmetic products.

Rose water is very commonly used as a toner. Specially girls with oily skin will benefit a lot from it! It can also be used as a natural make up remover. Some women also use it as a hair conditioner. Mix rose water with water and apply on scalp if you have a dry and itchy scalp. It increases blood flow to the roots of your hair and helps increase it’s length. Replace your make up setting spray with rose water!

4. Scented Bath.

Mix 2-3 spoons of rosewater to your bathing water for a cool scented bath. This will make your skin soft and glowing! I usually do this during summers when I need a nice refreshing bath Lots of spas use rose water for aroma therapy.

5. Food Food.

Yes, you have seen a lot of food products having rose water as an ingredient in them. My mom make rose water cupcakes which are delicious! Of course she uses naturally prepared rose water (mixing rose petals in water) and not those rose water bottles which shops sell. It can be used to flavor milk,fruit juices,cereal and custard! Experiment and use it in anything you like If you do make something delicious send me the recipe

Pros:

1. The shade is really a subtle hot pink! (Not too bright but still a hot pink). If you are looking for a bright pink color with a nice name this is it One of my favorite hot pinks so far.

2. The nail polish is easy to handle and does not leave streaks.

3. It’s chip resistant.Lasted almost a week(very little chipping seen at the tips)

4. It’s cheap compared to other polishes.( Rs. 100 on Flipkart )

5. Good for water marbling.

6. Needs only two coats to get the color in the bottle.

Cons:

1. Looks ugly on dark complexions. If you are fair just go for it.

2. I’m not very happy with the brush of this polish.The bristles do not spread enough during application.

3. The polish is a little runny.(which makes it good for water marbling).

Will I Buy again?

Umm..Depends if I don’t find an equally hot pink with a better brush then I will. The shade is no doubt good but I would prefer a better quality polish! If you are looking for a cheap hot pink then this is a nice option I have done a few nail arts using this polish

Make up,specially eyeshadow has always been two-tone!And it looks very sexy too! But the latest discovery was two toned lips!

Ummm.. Ok so I have a confession to make! I think two toned lips look plain dumb! It’s good for all the runway models but implementing that in real life? I’m not so sure! I don’t think I can carry that..and just because it is a trend does not mean I should. What say? (besides it is so weird when one lip is pink and other is orange! :O)

5. Two toned Footwear.

The revolution of footwear is here!  I just love the two-tone stilettos! They look gorgeous! I saw a particular pair of stilettos with a neon orange and black mix..oh god it looked so sexy.!!!

So last time I did a glitter gradient nail art using glitter polish(of course!) and here is how I got rid of it.

Things you need:

1. Acetone (works better than nail polish remover but you can using a regular nail polish remover too)

2. Plastic sheet.

3. Cotton.

Step One: Take a piece of cotton and soak it in a cup filled with acetone/nail polish remover.

Step Two: Now place the soaked cotton on your nail.

Step Three: Immediately cover the nail and cotton bud with the plastic sheet. Wait for 5 mins. While you are waiting you can repeat the same for all nails.

Step Four: Remove the plastic sheet and swipe the cotton bud on your nail. Watch your nail polish go away at the same time!

Easy! No fuss! No frustration!

Apply cuticle oil and your nails are now ready for the next nail art!
