Pros:

1. The color is a lovely warm pink! It’s not bright red and not even a neon red..it something in between!

2. The brush is rounded at tip which helps easy application. One of the best brushes I’ve seen so far, just needs a single stroke!

3. Does not leave streaks,smooth finish!

4. Dries quickly!

5. Chips after 5-6 days (A single coat with no top coat chips in 2 days.)

Cons:

1. The bottle is very small for the price! (Rs.225 for 5ml)

2. Needs three coats for a perfect finish which is a lot of polish from that already small bottle.

3. Claims to be a gel color but does not reach the standard of one!

Will I buy again?

Maybe! I’m happy with the pretty coral color and totally in love with the brush.The only thing that turns me off is the price of that tiny bottle! So if my pocket is filled, I don’t mind buying this shade again and again

1. Why did you start blogging at the first place?

I started my blog Desimiss (yeah that was my first blog’s name) for an entirely different purpose. As you know I am a nail art addict and always tried different nail arts even before I started Desimiss. My friends always asked me how it did it and slowly it started to annoy me as I had to explain the entire process to multiple people! That’s when I got the idea of starting my blog.  Eventually I decided to write about other fashion related stuff or anything that pleased my eyes.

2. Which is the one beauty/make up product you always carry in your purse?

Umm..It’s difficult to choose one product because I carry a lot of stuff in my purse But a lip balm is something I never miss to carry with me.
3. Which is your favourite designer?

I’m not a ‘buy-only-branded-stuff’ person! I love the street shopping in Mumbai ! That does not mean I buy everything from there.. In short I buy anything from anywhere as long as it’s pretty My favourite designer is Victoria Beckham. She’s pretty, has her own sense of style and the clothes she creates are fabulous! I hate her because she is married to the hottest person on earth
4. Summer, Winter, Autumn or Spring?

Summer! I love the beautiful colors of summer. Summer trends are bright and flowery which is very cute!

Sonam Kapoor.

Nah! I always wanted a pet dog! Anything breed except chihuahua!

The Ugly Truth. Lame I know! But Gerard Butler is hot and I love Rom-Coms!

I had purchased using a credit card because they do not have cash on delivery options for products having prices lower than Rs.299. It would be great if they had free shipping..currently they are charging Rs.99 as shipping charges for cart value less than Rs.750. All modes of payment are reliable! (yeah! I’ve tried all :P)

Shipping and tracking:

Tracking was easy with updates being sent by email and SMS. The product reached my doorstep in two days

Packaging:

The packaging was good as my product reached my hand safely! The nail polish came in a Myntra box. It was enclosed in a plastic box and a thick layer of bubble wrap! The nail polish reached without any damage(the color looked a little different than the image which is OK).

 Will I buy again?

I’ve been a regular user of Myntra because of the amazing deals they come up with (I had told you about the buy one get two free lee jeans which was my favorite so far! They once had a giveaway where lucky winners got free shopping worth Rs. 2000!) The frequent sales and quick delivery often attract me to their website! I feel it’s a great shopping website for girls! So I will purchase from Myntra in the future too. I’ve not had a single complain with it so far!

The website is user-friendly. And browsing through sooooo many products was easier than I thought (thanks to all the filters). The home page was filled with tempting offers! I specially loved the Buy one get one free footwear offer! So good right?

I paid using a gift voucher! However they do offer Cash on delivery and other payment options. Shipping is free if you order two products! One good point I would like to mention here is I was NOT made to fill unnecessary sign up forms to make my order!Many websites do that and I just hate it when I can’t buy my product quickly just because I had to sign up first and then go to my mail box and activate my account and then go back to the cart and fill in other information and then buy! (My god!That’s a lot of work)

Shipping and Tracking:

I ordered my product at 7 p.m on a sunday(25th August)! Immediately I got an email and SMS that my order was placed! I was shocked to find the delivery guy with my Jabong Parcel at my doorstep this morning! Just because I had placed the order on Sunday I was expecting it to be dispatched today and delivered 2 days later!  It’s really great service because the products did not even take 24 hours to reach my hands!

Packaging:

My t-shirts arrived in a Jabong.com branding bag covered in a sheet of bubble wrap. The packaging was neat and the products reached my hands safely! I was happy to find that my t-shirts looked exactly similar to the images shown on their website

Will I shop again?

You will not believe this but I just made another purchase an hour back (Ordered a nail polish which I want to use in my next nail art) . I was impressed to find China Glaze nail polishes which very few websites sell! I’m really pleased with my online shopping experience on Jabong.com

Awesome I would say! So far nobody has impressed me as much as Flipkart. My products reached my hands in two day (out of which one was a holiday)! That was super quick! Tracking was easy too, I was updated via SMS and Email. I paid using the gift voucher.

Packaging:

My products were packed in a box(which was a little smashed from the sides).

A single sheet of bubble wrap was covered around it. My products reached my hands safely! However, the Lakme nail polish had a broken cap! I immediately emailed Flipkart to inform about it and got a replacement the very next day! Their customer service is really good and helpful!

Will I shop again?

Yes I’m pretty happy with the experience It’s definitely a safe and reliable website! One thing I would love to change is the clothing collection! Initially I wanted to buy clothes but I was not THAT pleased with their collection.. Something more stylish does not hurt anyone!

5. Ranara base coat.

6. Asepta top coat.

7. Dotting tool.

8. Paint brush.

Let’s begin!!

Apply Ranara base coat to protect your natural nails.

Step One: Paint your nails with two coats of white polish and allow it to dry.

Step Two: Make an orange stripe at the base of your nail and a green stripe at the tip of your nail.

Try to make strips of the same width. Allow it to dry.

Step Three: Using a dotting tool dipped in blue nail polish, make a large dot at the centre of each white stripe. Let it dry.

Step Four: Using a toothpick or paint brush dipped in white nail polish draw small lines to form the lines of the chakra. I drew multiple diameters of the blue dot.

Step Five: Apply top coat to seal in your design.

Salute at the flag hoisting with this amazing nail art on your nails. It would be so great if all the Indian women did this nail art on 15th August!

This nail art is done using Konad stamping kit It’s so fun!!!!!

Things you need:

1. Revlon Icy Violet nail polish.

2. Konad stamping kit.

3. Konad special polish white.

4. Konad stamping plate no. m15

5. Lakme color crush nail polish 26.

6. Aspeta top coat.

7. Ranara base coat.

Lets begin!

Start with a base coat to protect your natural nails.

Step One: Paint your nails with two coats of Revlon icy violet nail polish. Allow it to dry.

Step Two: Using the Konad stamping kit, Stamp the rakhi design on your nail. If you don’t know how to use the kit read my post about konad stamping kits. Try to stamp the design at the center of each nail.

Step Three: Do a french tip using the Lakme white nail polish and allow it to dry.

Step Four: Finish with a top coat to seal in the design!

Done! Haha! Yeah that’s the fun of doing nail arts with a stamping kit! No work for such a great design

This is one of the sexiest violet colored nail polish I own.Revlon sells a similar colored lipstick too(called the icy violet lipstick)

Here are some swatches of Revlon Icy violet 768 nail polish

Pros:

• This is a cool deep purple with blue iridescent shimmer that flashes in the light. I only needed two coats.
• The brush is long and bristles spread out evenly to give you a good manicure.
• Chip resistant.(most of the polish did not chip for a week)
• I own this polish since a long time,luckily it did not turn dry like other polishes.
• It does not stain nails.
• Color is exactly similar to the bottle.

Cons: 

• I’m not sure if this color is available in India.(I purchased it from US,so if you live in USA and wish to buy this nail paint you will find it here.)
• The polish on my tips started to chip away in a day(very little chipping though).

Will I use again?

Of course! I told you it’s my favourite shade of violet!! The blue shimmer just steals my heart! I will surely buy this product again. Will also love to try the icy violet lipstick

In the first part I listed few Bollywood actresses sporting the neon sari trend..Here are a few more! Everyone is loving it!

1. Kareena Kapoor.

She was seen in a neon orange sari with a dark blue border and a bright yellow choli. I do like her sari but I’m not a big fan of the bright yellow choli. Maybe something more subtle would’ve looked a lot better. Also her petticoat should-be orange to make the saree look bright and stunning.. She carries it off really well so no complaints!

2.Bipasha Basu.

Recently spotted with this black Sari with a neon pink border..this sari is particularly seen a lot,even Madhuri Dixit was seen in a similar type of sari. I’m not happy with the choil again The border of the sari is just lovely!! The bindi makes her look older yet nice She should dropped the weird watch :/

3. Vidya Balan.

Vidya Balans neon orange sari is good. The choli is particularly Vidya Balan estyle! Like her hairdo. Much better than the previous appearances she made in neon saris!

4. Mandira Bedi.

Hmm a net sari with a print that’s in! I would have given her full points for the sari if she draped it more neatly! Checkered, lines and chevron prints are definitely most seen prints these days. The bikini halter neck choli is rescued from looking cheap by the broad border of her sari. ( I guess halter neck is Mandira Bedi’s favourite)

5. Neha Dhupia.

A printed sari again! I like the sari,choli,make up and hairdo. Draping is ok-ish making her look fat. She scores! I really appreciate her dressing sense..she comes in my list of actresses with a sense of fashion ( second to Sonam Kapoor though :P)

6. Sonali Bendre.

Her saree has a weird combination of neons..Love the jhumkas on her pallu..would have loved to see her neon blue with a black. She can still steal anyones heart with her sparkling smile and wonderful charm
