Well rosewater is a really versatile product and can be used in A LOT of ways! I tried to pick the best five

1. Use in Facepacks or other home made scrubs!

As I mentioned earlier, the benefits of rose water for the skin are infinite! Mix it in your face scrub or facepack to give you a calming effect! Rose water is proved to be an anti inflammatory! You can also use cotton balls soaked in rosewater to reduce under eye puffiness and get rid of dark circles!

2. Bed sheet perfume!

Yeah! I once had a broken bottle of rosewater and I had to make use of it! I sprinkled a mixture of rose water and water over all the bedsheets of my house The house smelt amazing! Now I sprinkle this sometimes before going to bed. Gives you a feeling of sleeping in a garden

3. Natural Replacement for cosmetic products.

Rose water is very commonly used as a toner. Specially girls with oily skin will benefit a lot from it! It can also be used as a natural make up remover. Some women also use it as a hair conditioner. Mix rose water with water and apply on scalp if you have a dry and itchy scalp. It increases blood flow to the roots of your hair and helps increase it’s length. Replace your make up setting spray with rose water!

4. Scented Bath.

Mix 2-3 spoons of rosewater to your bathing water for a cool scented bath. This will make your skin soft and glowing! I usually do this during summers when I need a nice refreshing bath Lots of spas use rose water for aroma therapy.

5. Food Food.

Yes, you have seen a lot of food products having rose water as an ingredient in them. My mom make rose water cupcakes which are delicious! Of course she uses naturally prepared rose water (mixing rose petals in water) and not those rose water bottles which shops sell. It can be used to flavor milk,fruit juices,cereal and custard! Get rid of dark circles naturally with these grandma tips

1. Sleep!

The simplest way to get rid of your dark circles is to sleep for at least 6 hours! Use a pillow to raise your head a bit, this prevents fluids from accumulating around your eyes.

Some people have dark circles even if they sleep enough (Blame your genes). If you are one of them, keep reading

2. Cucumber!

Yes, all of us know that a cucumber is the best way to get rid of dark circles naturally! Just chop a slice and keep it on your eyes for around 10 minutes. Nothing can beat the coolness of a cucumber.

Another way to use cucumbers for dark circles is to crush a cucumber in a food processor and soak a cotton pad in the freshly formed crush. Keep this cotton pad on your eye for 15 mins everyday.

3. Frozen wipes.

Pop a face wipe in the freezer. Keep it inside overnight. Remove it in the morning and place it on your eyes. Keep it till it gets warm. Do this every morning for a week and just see the results.

4. Spoon method.

Keep two spoons in the freezer for 15 mins. Remove and place on your eyes till it warms up again. Never apply ice directly under your eyes! It’s like giving shock therapy to your under eye skin!

5. Tea bags.

Tea has antioxidants which is proven effective in multiple ways. One of its benefits is to get rid of dark circles. Place a used,cooled and squeezed tea bag on each eye for 10 mins everyday.

6. Raw potato.

Cut a thick slice of raw potato and keep in freezer. Keep these slices on your eyes for 20 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a day for best results.

7. Treat your allergies!

Dark circles are sometimes caused because of allergies. Histamine in the body causes blood vessels under your eye to swell causing puffy eyes! If you think you have an allergy, treat it!

8. Almond Oil.

Massaging almond oil around the eye before going to bed has been proven to reduce dark circle and puffy eyes.

9. Tomato.

Tomatoes are used since ages to lighten and brighten the skin. It’s not only beneficial for dark circles but also great for facial skin! It’s used in anti-tan scrubs too!

10. Rose water.

Rose water is another ingredient which is used for treating a number of skin related issues. Soak a cotton ball in rose-water and place on your eye every night. It reduces puffiness immediately.

11. Mint leaves and Apple Crush.

Crush mint leaves and apple in a food processor. Apply around your eyes and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Wipe with a clean cold cloth .

How to make?

Make a cup of green tea for yourself in the morning. Squeeze out about one table-spoon of green tea from the left over tea bag in a cup. Take three tablespoons of sugar and add it to the cup. Mix well till you get a good granular paste.

How to apply?

Scrub this mixture over your entire face gently in a rolling motion. Do not press too hard!! We just want to exfoliate (not peel the skin out). Wash it  off with luke warm water and pat dry.

Apply aloe vera to moisturize and prevent skin reddening.

Important:

1. Make only fresh scrub for yourself! It takes only a minute.

2. Take the smallest granules of sugar you can find. Very big granules cause the skin to tear microscopically!

3. Apply aloe vera after you scrub your face. This helps if you skin is very sensitive like mine!

4. Use this mixture at least once and not more than three times a week for best results!

5. Remove all type of make up before you sleep.

6. Eat Healthy and exercise!

Benefits of Green tea:

Green tea is an antioxidant(which means it inhibits the production of free radicals which harm your skin). It also protects your skin from harmful UV damage. Research shows that green tea is beneficial for skin aging as well. Many beauty products in the market these days have green tea because of it’s endless positive effect on the skin.

Benefits of sugar:

Sugar is the most commonly used product for scrub. It’s granulated texture help exfoliate our skin! I already told you the detailed benefits of exfoliation when we made the lip scrub.

Home made lip scrub

The solution to this ugly problem is simple..EXFOLIATION! Lip scrub is great for exfoliating lips..You can buy some great lip scrubs..but if you do not wish to spend or need a quick and natural solution then make some flavoured lip scrub at home!

Chapped lips

Exfoliation removes the dead skin cells, hence you can see the new healthy cells. 

 Things you need:

1. Vaseline

2. Sugar

3. Lip balm (of your choice)

4. Mixing plate,spoon and knife

5. A small storage container (I’ve used an old lens case instead)

Step one: Take a spoon-full of Vaseline into your mixing plate.

Step two: Add two spoons of table sugar to the Vaseline and mix well till you get a thick grainy consistency.

Step three: Cut a small portion of your favourite lip balm and add it to the mixture.

My Favourite lip balm is Nivea’s Vitamin shake! It’s cranberry and raspberry flavoured, has SPF 10 and vitamins E,C and B5! I think its just perfect for this scrub

Step four: Mix well and store it in your desired container.

How to use: Take some scrub on your finger and gently apply and scrub your lips in a circular motion. Clean using a towel and get Lovely luscious lips immediately!

I’ve been facing the ugly effects of having an oily skin since I was a teenager! That cake-y, sweaty, oily skin -ew! I just hate it! But finally one of my best friends suggested me this amazingly effective face pack which keeps the oil away for days –and the great part is it’s totally natural and pocket friendly!

Here is what you need:

1. Multani mitti  (also known as fuller’s earth)

2. Rosewater

Take one and half tablespoons of multani mitti in a bowl and mix rosewater to it such that a thick paste is formed.Apply the paste evenly to your face and wait for 15-20 minutes.

While you are waiting,why not click some scary pics of yourself with the face pack on? Once the pack is dry, wash with normal tap water and patt dry. You will immidietely see that your face is oil free and glowing

IMPORTANT:

Do not apply the paste on and around your eyes..

Do not apply on your lips.

Do not smile or talk or make faces after you put the face pack on, it will cause your skin to stretch which is not good.

Tie back your hair before you start.
