Home made lip scrub

The solution to this ugly problem is simple..EXFOLIATION! Lip scrub is great for exfoliating lips..You can buy some great lip scrubs..but if you do not wish to spend or need a quick and natural solution then make some flavoured lip scrub at home!

Chapped lips

Exfoliation removes the dead skin cells, hence you can see the new healthy cells. 

 Things you need:

1. Vaseline

2. Sugar

3. Lip balm (of your choice)

4. Mixing plate,spoon and knife

5. A small storage container (I’ve used an old lens case instead)

Step one: Take a spoon-full of Vaseline into your mixing plate.

Step two: Add two spoons of table sugar to the Vaseline and mix well till you get a thick grainy consistency.

Step three: Cut a small portion of your favourite lip balm and add it to the mixture.

My Favourite lip balm is Nivea’s Vitamin shake! It’s cranberry and raspberry flavoured, has SPF 10 and vitamins E,C and B5! I think its just perfect for this scrub

Step four: Mix well and store it in your desired container.

How to use: Take some scrub on your finger and gently apply and scrub your lips in a circular motion. Clean using a towel and get Lovely luscious lips immediately!

You can always purchase a matte top coat which quickly turns your regular polish into matte, but why spend money when you can do the same thing at home

Procedure one:

Take a regular polish in a mixing dish. Take equal quantity of cornflour and mix it with the polish using a toothpick…Apply this mixture and you will see that it gives a matte finish!!

Procedure two:

Apply your regular polish and while its still wet sprinkle some cornflour on it(Make sure you cover the entire nail with cornflour).This process is something similar with what we did in the salt nail art but here,instead of using salt we use cornflour. Allow the polish to dry and then hold your finger under running water. You will see that your polish looks matte now

Procedure three:

Take an old bottle of top coat and add cornflour to the bottle with the help of a toothpick..Shake it well.

This can be used exactly like the matte top coat available in markets..

Procedure four:

Apply one coat of your polish and let it dry..Apply another coat and while it’s still wet, hold it on top of boiling water for few minutes. Make sure you don’t burn yourself, so do this carefully

The steam makes your regular polish turn matte!!magical right?

So if you are bored while boiling water for your tea, just grab your nail polish and start your matte manicure Saves a lot of time!

Sure you can buy a earring display and holder available at various stores..but why spend on what you can make at home in just very little time and of course its free

Things you will need:

1.An old plain cloth(dupattas and scarves will also do)

2.A satin ribbon or clothes hanger.

#To start with, I’ve taken my moms saree keeper..You can also take cotton dupattas or scarves or any other waste cloth..

I prefer colours on which you can easily see your earrings.

#Punch two holes at the top of the cloth (only if you want to use a satin ribbon) and tie the ribbon as shown

 If you want to use a clothes hanger,just hang the dupatta or cloth on the hanger and you are good to go!!

 #Arrange your earrings (hook or stud earrings) as you like..I prefer to keep my heavier earrings at the bottom..but it does not matter!

#Latch back and hoop earrings can be arranged at the sides.

This bracelet is very easy to make! Here I have given a tutorial on how to make a bracelet at home!

Step one: Measure the beading wire around your wrist and cut using scissors.(keep the length of the wire a little longer than the measurement of your wrist)

Step two: Stick one end of the beading wire to a board using some tape.

Step three: Start beading. Here I have put two flat beads followed by two round beads.

Step four: Continue beading till you reach the end of the wire.

Step five: Now join the two ends of the beaded wire by tying a simple knot.Tie multiple knots to make sure that the beads cannot escape.

Step six: Cut off left over wire using scissors.

Your multi-coloured wooden bead bracelet is ready! You can also make a single or double coloured bracelet if you wish.
